About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Northlake, Texas. This role supports warehouse fulfillment and distribution in a clean, organized facility, primarily handling coffee and some spices and related food products. The operator uses electric pallet jacks and stand-up reach trucks and may perform a range of warehouse functions, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, loading and unloading, and cycle counting. The position pays $20.00 per hour plus production and attendance incentives, with weekly pay. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Ryder describes its workplace as team-oriented and safety-focused, with an emphasis on respect and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse environment and maintain professional relationships with people at all organizational levels.
• Thoroughness, dependability, punctuality, and a good attendance record.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and accuracy, including under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule on various work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions that may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects of the automated packing system during the core production shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
