About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation. Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)

Requirements

  • 3 Months operator experience (Can be a combination of employer as long as it is at least 3 months)
  • 3 Months forklift experience (Can be a combination of employer as long as it is at least 3 months)
  • Full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing.
  • Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Cold Storage Experience Preferred.
  • May be trained on Cherry picker for additional tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift.
  • Moving around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • Following all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
  • Using a handheld scanner to track products as it is moved around the facility.
  • Receiving product accurately into the building using PIT.
  • Pulling product that has been received and putting it into the racking.
  • Palletizing or splitting pallets.
  • Pulling pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
  • Pulling product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.
  • Loading trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.
