About The Position

The forklift operator will support production, and shipping/receiving operations by operating different types of forklifts such as G-5 Royal T-250, Hester Spacesaver, CAT T-50, and sit-down. This role is with one of the largest producers of metal food containers in the United States.

Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass the certification test if not already certified
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing facility
• 6 months-2 years of forklift driving work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with finished sheet metal
• Load cut sheet material onto platforms for dispatch through the manufacturing lines
• Prepare finished goods for transfer to other departments
• Remove coil loads and other materials from trucks as they are delivered
• Transport unfinished and finished product throughout the plant and supply the production lines with raw materials
• Empty scrap tubs of metal waste
• Assist in taking inventory and prepare orders for shipment as needed
