Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in material handling, loading and unloading
• Capable of working outside
• Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/yard setting
• Safety conscious attitude

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the steel industry is considered an asset
• Forklift ticket is an asset with experience running equipment over 30,000lbs
• Overhead crane ticket is an asset

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers using shunt trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Organizing and staging finished goods in the yard
• Frequent heavy lifting of materials
• Movement of materials within the shop to ensure materials are stored in a safe manner
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving documents
• Ensure documents are cross-checked with purchase/sales orders for accuracy
• Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor
• Be willing to help the team succeed wherever possible
