Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and pass certification.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer knowledge/experience a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Driver Training Certificate
  • 6 months or more of experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to transport product into/out of cold storage.
  • Load and unload truck trailers.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Clean and maintain forklifts, batteries, docks, pallet yard, and cold and dry storages.
  • Safe transportation of products, with a forklift in high traffic areas.
  • Safe transportation of product, with a forklift, in temperatures of -10º F.
  • Safe transportation of dry materials for use in production.
  • Safely change lift truck batteries and service them.
  • Evaluate and inspect forklift equipment.
  • Participate in inventory control and cycle counts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all product movement performed on a shift.
  • Safely load/unload trucks and accurately complete required paperwork.
  • Actively participate in all 5-S requirements (cleaning and organization).
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Support other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
