About The Position

Ascend Staffing is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Forklift Operator / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join its warehouse team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role involves safely operating a forklift, handling inventory, processing shipping and receiving paperwork, and using basic computer programs to maintain warehouse records. The successful candidate will work accurately and efficiently while supporting daily warehouse operations and maintaining a safe, orderly environment.

Requirements

Basic computer skills, including data entry and navigating computer systems.
Ability to read and understand shipping documents, packing slips, and labels.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to safely lift and move warehouse materials as required.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift operating experience.
Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and organize materials.
Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips and purchase orders.
Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure orders are accurate and ready for delivery.
Perform shipping and receiving data entry using basic computer systems.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse documentation.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and visible damage.
Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments.
Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
