About The Position

Metro is looking for On-call/Part-time Forklift Operators – Reach Truck to serve on the Supplemental Urgent Response Group (SURG) for the First Shift: 7:00AM – 3:30PM. This team provides time sensitive, emergency response warehousing/logistics for our clients. This position requires team members to be on-call 24/7 for their scheduled shifts. SURG team members are committed individuals who agree to work on short notice, usually within 60 minutes of the time being notified. This position will require work on an intermittent basis, during emergency or special situations in which Metro will be required to temporarily increase its capabilities for warehousing and distribution. This is a great opportunity to earn extra income! Although this position is on-call on a regular, ongoing basis, the actual hours worked, other than periodic training and readiness sessions that may be scheduled in advance, will be random and intermittent. Consequently, it is an option to work on a regular full-time basis for another employer, provided that such employment does not prevent the duties being performed for Metro.
