About The Position

Experienced Forklift Operators are critical to keeping Quad's printing operation running efficiently. At our Hartford facility, you'll move paper, materials, and finished products throughout the plant, ensuring production equipment has what it needs to keep customer orders moving on schedule. This isn't a traditional warehouse position. You'll work directly alongside production teams, support printing and finishing operations, load and unload trailers, and help maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Quad's offers something many manufacturing and distribution employers can't: a compressed schedule allows employees to work only 182 scheduled days per year while maintaining full-time status and benefits.

Requirements

  • Dependable candidates with experience in warehouse, manufacturing, shipping, logistics, distribution, or production environments.
  • Previous forklift operating experience
  • Experience loading and unloading trailers and moving materials safely and efficiently
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and a consistent work history
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in printing, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, or material handling environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, motorized lifts, and other powered industrial equipment throughout the facility
  • Supply printing presses and finishing equipment with materials to help minimize production downtime
  • Transport paper, raw materials, and finished products throughout the plant
  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory using RF scanners and computerized inventory systems
  • Support production teams by ensuring materials are delivered where and when they are needed
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and follow established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
