About The Position

This position involves loading and/or unloading trucks, receiving, checking, storing, counting, and distributing inventory in accordance with established systems, procedures, and methods. The role requires maintaining a safe work environment, meeting warehouse goals, and accurately completing paperwork. Responsibilities include managing inventory levels, conducting periodic inventories, tracing item histories to resolve discrepancies, and overseeing daily receiving and shipping operations. The operator will also stack and arrange product on pallets, perform forklift and pallet jack inspections, replenish stock, move product as needed, and rotate product according to FIFO or Julian dates. Additional duties include receiving and checking incoming product against documents, operating electric forklifts and pallet jacks, working in freezer temperatures (averaging 32 to -25 degrees), providing general support to production, and wearing provided safety gear.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-4 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience.
  • One year of shift lead experience with sound, effective communication skills.
  • Current Forklift certification.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and/or unload trucks.
  • Receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory.
  • Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state and federal requirements.
  • Perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Manage day to day inventory levels.
  • Conduct periodic inventories.
  • Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions.
  • Timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load board.
  • Oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions.
  • Stack and arrange product on pallets.
  • Complete forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift.
  • Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily.
  • Move product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory.
  • Rotate product and arrange according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out).
  • Receive and check against receiving documents incoming product, ensuring proper product code, quantity and condition; report any discrepancies to the lead.
  • Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Work in and out of freezers, temperatures average 32 degrees to –25 degrees.
  • Provide general support of production.
  • Wear hairnet, freezer suit, captive boots, earplugs, and gloves provided by the Company.
