About The Position

Franklin Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. This role involves loading and unloading trailers, picking items with precision using various forklift attachments, and operating equipment larger than a typical 5K lift. The ideal candidate is dependable, can work with minimal direction, adapts quickly, pays attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position that may require working at multiple locations. The company is a family-owned business founded in 1985, with six locations in the Chambersburg, PA area, specializing in warehousing, transloading, and transportation solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1 year Forklift (5k or higher) Experience Required
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to walk, bend, lift, and sit throughout the duration of the shift
  • Must be flexible with working in multiple site locations
  • Pre-hire Drug Screening Required
  • Pre-hire Physical Required

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year Warehouse Experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate 5K, Sit-Down 12K, and Sit-Down 15K Forklifts
  • Utilize Single-Double Forks
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Operate Stand Up Forklift
  • Pick loads
  • Complete Rack Put-away
  • Receive and process shipments using RF Scanners
  • Use proper handling instructions per product specifications
  • Document product damages as they are identified
  • Operate Box Clamp and Roll Clamp
  • Unload rail cars
  • Unload and load Paper Rolls
  • Fall Protection Certification
  • General housekeeping duties in production areas
  • Comply with and adhere to all safety policies and regulations
  • Perform proper forklift inspections and adhere to all forklift operating guidelines and procedures
