Reporting directly to the Inventory Control Analyst, the Forklift Operator / Inventory (Fisher) supports warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient movement of materials within the facility. This role is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts using a reach forklift, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring proper pallet placement and storage throughout the warehouse. The position requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Inventory Control and Operations teams. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, cold storage environment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (SSD)
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a forklift operator, ideally in the food storage industry
  • Ability to operate an RF scanner is a must
  • Experience with counterbalance and double-reach forklifts
  • Basic understanding of inventory processes
  • Ability to work in a bilingual environment (basic French and fluent in English required)
  • Willingness to work in a cold environment (-18°C)
  • Strong organizational, reliability, and responsibility skills
  • Customer-focused mindset while maintaining performance results
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt
  • Consistent and dependable work performance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily cycle counting using a reach forklift
  • Report daily cycle count findings to the on-site Inventory Control Analyst
  • Ensure pallets are properly racked in the warehouse
  • Occasionally, provide operational support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform daily forklift inspections before use
  • Contribute to improving inventory accuracy in the warehouse
  • Participate in warehouse projects related to inventory
