About The Position

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Forklift Operator II to join their Natural Ingredients business in Turlock, California. This role is responsible for receiving and inventorying goods, pulling products for orders, loading and unloading trucks, performing inventory transactions, cycle counting, and operating a forklift. The position also involves improving warehouse storage organization for efficiency. The candidate must be open to working any shift, specifically swing or graveyard, based on business needs.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with both warehouse staff and management.
Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete simple math computations (+,-, x, ÷).
Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions, problems and questions.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from 35 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noises, airborne food particles (dust), and forklift fumes.
Authorized to work in the US without the need for employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Receiving and inventorying all goods, both internal and purchased.
Pulling products for orders.
Loading and unloading trucks carrying inter-plant freight.
Performing JDE inventory related transactions.
Cycle counting inventory in SDF/.Net.
Forklift operation.
Actively improving the organizational plan of storing various products throughout the warehouse to make internal movements more efficient.
Ensuring pallet tags are secured correctly, proper pallets are used, pallets of bags have labels on all four sides, and packaging containers are free from damage when warehousing finished product.
Combining partial pallets as needed to save on warehousing space.
Reading and understanding Product Names, Codes and Tags.
Following all company rules and regulations and working in a safe manner.
Communicating to supervisor as needed if any help is needed on the maintenance or operation of the equipment.
Performing all functional tasks associated with the Warehouse Position, including Onion/Garlic Receiving, Order Puller (Chili, Order Prep, Automation, Repack, etc.), Row Consolidation/Cycle Counts, and any other tasks associated with the warehousing position.
Pulling of PDR Material and placing in Hold Cage.
Maintaining the facility at all times as set by the 5S program.
