About The Position

Forklift Operator I moves materials from inventory to production and back, maintains required paperwork and production records, and supplies production departments with materials according to the production schedule. The role also moves materials between workstations and finished goods to the inventory yard or warehouse, assists production with material needs, and helps keep inventory areas organized and clean.

Requirements

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
• Successfully complete the Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift driving experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another when necessary.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods from the production area to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete the pre-shift equipment startup checklist and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain an organized and clean rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies described by Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
