About The Position

The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in addition to following company and warehouse GMP’s. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently, especially in a freezer environment. The position requires adherence to food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished goods, and involves assisting warehouse personnel with loading and unloading operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Experience driving Stand Up Forklifts
• Experience with RF Scanning
• Ability to work in Freezer Environment
• Knowledge of Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains defensive driving
• Maintains trailer clean and free of contaminants and pest
• Provides a communication link between customers and staff
• Follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished good products
• Assists warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products and operates forklifts as needed
• Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside
• Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required
• Keeps equipment charged
• Assists with Inventory and Cycle Counts
