About The Position

The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in addition to following company and warehouse GMP’s. This role is responsible for maintaining defensive driving, ensuring the trailer is clean and free of contaminants and pests, and providing a communication link between customers and staff. The operator must follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished good products, and assist warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products. Additionally, the role involves reading and interpreting maps, driving directions, and road signs in English to plan the most efficient route service for customers. The operator is also responsible for keeping the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside, maintaining accurate records on trip sheets, customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, and vehicle condition reports. Assistance with cycle counts and inventory is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Work in Freezer Environment
  • Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities
