About The Position

As a Forklift Operator/Backup Yard Truck Driver, you’ll be part of our Shipping team located in Martin, TN. You’ll get to make trailer moves to support 4 different buildings supporting materials group, assembly, shipping, and receiving groups. You will ensure trailers/loads are moved to the correct docks for loading or unloading to support the assembly process. You will report damaged or unsafe equipment; trailers, yard dogs, dock lights or locks and driving conditions. You will obey SBD Martin rules and safety regulations. You will work with coordinators and supervision on trailers to be loaded or unloaded. This role requires getting in and out of the truck to shut doors, adjust landing gear, hook up lines for air and lights, etc. You need to expect working in various weather conditions. You need to be teamwork driven and oriented in working with other drivers and personnel in all buildings to support needs. The company is looking for candidates with a good attendance record, who can work flexible hours/overtime, and have a good performance record.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid and up to date CDL License

Responsibilities
