Dohrn is currently seeking a Full Time Forklift Mechanic at our Milwaukee, WI Terminal. Hours: 1st Shift Available, 4 Day Work Week! Pay: Up to $41.06/Hour with incentives Training available for incentives No CDL incentive offered for lift truck

Requirements

  • A minimum age of 18
  • High School completion or equivalent
  • Valid Driver License
  • Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Must pass a NON-Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen
  • Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment is required
  • Must have previous experience maintaining detailed and routine record keeping
  • Manual dexterity required
  • Must possess knowledge of occupational hazards & standard safety precautions
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Excellent attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with forklift maintenance is preferred
  • CDL-qualified mechanics will be subject to a DOT physical examination

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services
  • Support the tire maintenance program
  • Perform service calls
  • Wash and fuel equipment
  • Perform other maintenance duties or assignments
  • Provide assistance to senior technicians
  • Lead the care and upkeep of the Maintenance Shop, grounds, and all equipment and tools
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with DOT, EPA, OSHA and company standards
  • Complete all required documentation and keep records
  • In conjunction with the Parts Department, assure that all necessary materials, parts, service/shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels
  • Perform other duties as needed
