About The Position
Crown Lift Trucks is the premier material handling dealer in Canada, operating eight full-service branches in Ontario and Quebec. They offer complete service solutions including maintenance programs, parts supply, and training. The ideal candidate is an automotive, heavy equipment, truck and coach, or power lift truck technician, or is enrolled in a motive power program. Candidates with similar mechanical experience are also considered. The role requires a results-orientated self-starter and team player with strong communication and customer service skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipment
- Able to read and understand service manuals and microfiche, plan and follow-through
- Good organizational, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required
Nice To Haves
- Automotive, heavy equipment, truck and coach, or power lift truck technician experience
- Enrolled in a motive power program
- Similar mechanical experience
- Industry related training and/or one to two years of prior experience
Responsibilities
- Driving to customer locations and troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing both Crown and competitors' lift trucks and other equipment.
- Discussing with customer and reviewing recommended repairs.
- Estimating or quoting repair costs.
- Placing parts orders and completing necessary paperwork.
- Performing safety and operational tests.
- Performing pre-delivery inspections, laying down trucks, and installing trucks as needed.
- Communicating customer satisfaction information and leads to the appropriate personnel.
- Completing all training as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
