About The Position

The Forklift Mechanic ensures forklifts remain in optimal condition through regular maintenance, timely repairs, and strict adherence to safety standards, supporting operational efficiency and workplace safety.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a related field, including maintenance of various lifts.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to meet all safety standards.
• Self-motivated flexible team-player, with a service-oriented mind set and the persistence to following through on commitments in a timely manner.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on forklifts, including brake, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, detect safety issues, and replace defective parts.
• Work on LP, gas, and electric forklifts; repair mast, attachment, and reach mechanisms; and maintain steering and drive units.
• Work from a work order driven system via daily inspection reports.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure fleet readiness and compliance with operational schedules.
