About The Position

The Forklift Materials Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This position is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively to load, unload, and transport goods. Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification or license as required by OSHA standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations.
• Forklift operation and safety compliance are essential for daily tasks involving the movement and storage of materials, ensuring that all activities are performed without incident.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are used to maintain accurate inventory records and to keep the warehouse orderly, which supports efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Inspect forklifts and equipment daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Organize and store materials in designated locations to maintain an orderly warehouse environment.
• Accurately document the movement of materials and update inventory management systems in real time.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate material flow and meet production or shipping deadlines.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies in stock records.
