About The Position

Operates and maintains forklift truck to ensure safe and efficient operation. Transports material in between departments. Loads and unloads materials from trucks and trailers. Maintains a steady flow of material through the yard. Oversees the condition of the entire yard, all roads and pipe racks. Communicates and coordinates with previous shift driver and relief driver, ensuring proper and thorough turn-over. Must know the Beaumont yard layout and proper marking and identification of pipe. Returns tools to proper places at the end of each shift. Performs preoperational checks on forklifts and reports all service concerns. Must know and adhere to proper moving and handling procedures of XL Systems products. Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the grounds through regular inspection and maintenance. Ensures company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machinery. Completes required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required. Reads gauges, dials, and other indicators, adjusting them as necessary. Troubleshoots heavy equipment, with the ability to detect and fix operating problems. Ability to lead a team in the absence of the Material Control Manager. Performs all tasks and duties in harmony with other employees to create and maintain a safe working environment. Ensures compliance with the company’s QHSE policies, and corporate code and overall company’s objectives. Other duties as defined by Facility Material Manager.
