About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join the team for the third shift. The role involves safely and efficiently moving goods in a warehouse or distribution environment and carrying out inventory, picking, shipping, receiving, and equipment-maintenance tasks. The position is based in a manufacturing facility and is scheduled Monday through Friday, with Saturdays when needed, from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

1–3 years of certified forklift experience.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate and read labels in English.

Nice To Haves

Sit-down forklift and pallet jack experience.
Bilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain inventory.
Organize and secure materials, including boxes, bales, pallets, and super stacks.
Pick orders from inventory using a pick sheet.
Shrink-wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping.
Weigh products and/or loads and record their weight.
Move hazardous materials.
Report faulty equipment, rack damage, and other potential safety hazards.
Take certification update courses.
Maintain a clean work area.
Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling, recharging, refueling, and performing related tasks.
Consult and coordinate with managers, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers about loading and unloading operations.
Attend meetings with the manager and coworkers.
Prepare, present, and/or approve bills of lading.
Check in and approve new shipments.
Perform quality checks and report quality variances through the proper channels.
Adhere to uniform requirements.
Rotate stock to ensure the oldest products are picked first.
Remain alert to other employees in the work zone.
Use radio frequency equipment as needed for picking, put-away, receiving, and load functions.
Comply with OSHA standards.
