Forklift Driver Days
About The Position
The Forklift Driver will be responsible for various warehouse and distribution tasks, including unloading incoming loads, stocking product in a controlled environment warehouse (CEW), filling out load sheets, rotating product by brand, package, and date, and tagging product rows. The role also involves stripping bay trucks, organizing dunnage, pulling product for orders, loading trucks and vans, stocking pick lines, assisting with re-pack processes and facility maintenance, and replacing striping in CEW storage areas. Additionally, the driver will unload and load inbound and outbound freight trucks and store product in the CEW. All other assigned tasks are also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently and 170 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull 2,500 pounds frequently
- Must be able to climb on and off the equipment
- Employee does not pose a direct threat to the safety or health of him/herself or of others
- Pass forklift certification exams and tests
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to work in cold temperatures
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehousing or distribution experience preferred
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Unloading incoming loads from the brewery and placing product in C.E.W. (Controlled Environment Warehouse) room
- Filling out incoming load sheets
- Rotating product in C.E.W. room by brand, package, and date
- Tagging product rows with quantities and dates
- Stripping bay trucks of product and dunnage
- Placing and organizing incoming dunnage in dunnage room
- Loading dunnage on empty trailers returning to the brewery
- Pulling product for hotshot orders, when necessary
- Loading trucks and vans with product, when necessary
- Stocking the pick line, as needed
- Assisting with the re-pack process
- Assisting with facility maintenance
- Replacing striping in C.E.W. storage areas
- Unload in-bound freight trucks
- Unloading in-bound trucks
- Loading out-bound trucks
- Storing product in C.E.W.
- All other tasks as assigned
