About The Position

Drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, lift beam and elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. This role involves operating machinery, managing inventory, and ensuring materials are transported efficiently and safely within the PC Room 2 environment. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
  • Lift 50 pounds 50-100 times during the shift
  • Sit and/or walk for the duration of the shift
  • Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Talk and hear
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, lift beam and elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Completes forklift checklist in computer.
  • Replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • May be required to load or unload trailers.
