About The Position

We’re looking for a passionate individual to fill our Warehouse Forklift Operator role and to join 1 of our 12 locations located in Quincy, IL where we work together to continuously improve the bottled water industry.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of work-related experience required.
  • Forklift certification. (Must complete in-house certification within 30 days of hire.)
  • Valid State Issued Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and rack material.
  • Inspect finished product and raw materials for accuracy and quality and safely move them around the warehouse and between warehouse and production lines to ensure timely and complete delivery and quality product.
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, or other transport vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, and replacing liquefied-gas tank.
  • Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
  • Operate or tend automatic palletizing machines.
  • Notify purchasing personnel regarding low levels of or problems with raw materials in a timely manner.
  • Verify proper product identification/specifications during shift.
  • Interact with team members and with previous/subsequent Shift Manager to ensure all shift requirements are fulfilled by end of shift.
  • Interact with truck drivers regarding incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Ensure proper reporting of inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure all dock/warehouse doors are closed and locked when not in use.
  • Perform FIFO stock rotation.
  • Report any forklift operating problems and/or safety issues to department manager.
  • Ensure that raw materials needed for next shift are ready prior to end of your shift.
  • Moving trailers into and out of the warehouse docks.
  • Parking and moving trailers in the parking lot area.
  • Mentor new forklift operators.
  • Performs other related duties as they arise and/or as requested.
