About The Position

The Forklift Driver is responsible for the lifting, moving, and distributing of goods throughout the manufacturing facility in a safe and secure manner. This role also involves other warehouse duties, which may include packing of shipments and checking inventories both inside and outside the facility.

Requirements

• Strong self-management skills with attention to detail while being on a timed process environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills such as active listening and empathy with the ability to relate to individuals from different backgrounds and situations.
• Ability to work in fast-paced transporting and loading environment.
• Must have knowledge of typical industrial storage procedures, such as, the stacking of pallets and the transportation of them.
• Outstanding attendance records and a continuous interest in learning and training.
• Basic written and verbal understanding of the English language.

Nice To Haves

• Previous professional experience with operating a forklift is preferred.
• Experience on a production line or a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport material to designated areas in the facility as indicated by production schedule.
• Unload receiving deliveries and relocate the goods to their designated storage area.
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes with the Rhenus logistics department, and customer if applicable.
• Follow all FIFO procedures to ensure parts are rotated according to date.
• Must keep up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures throughout the facility while operating the forklift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
