About The Position

The Forklift Driver is responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets, and equipment safely and securely. In addition to driving forklifts, a Forklift Driver also has a range of other warehouse duties such as packaging shipments or checking inventories.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to follow work instruction and keep pace of shipping department.
Thorough understanding of shipping policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills.
Keen attention to detail.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
Good hand/eye coordination.
Excellent motor skills to operate necessary machinery safely.

Responsibilities

Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
Accurately filling out shift paperwork.
Adhering to production schedules.
Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
Ensure that all Safety rules, OSHA requirements and Company Policies are followed.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
All staff are responsible for Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility. Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.
