Forklift Driver 1st shift
About The Position
Ariens Company is seeking a self-starting, motivated Forklift Operator to join our team in Fayetteville, TN. This role involves working as part of a team responsible for handling materials for outdoor power equipment, including raw materials and parts. The operator will place materials in designated locations, operate necessary equipment, and adhere strictly to standard work procedures. Responsibilities also include assisting team members to meet daily production goals, recording information, loading and unloading materials and units onto trucks, and entering material movement into AS400. The role requires operating an industrial truck or pallet jack for loading or moving product, delivering parts to assembly cells, and offloading incoming product to proper storage locations. Additional duties may include locating and transporting raw materials, identifying and locating tooling, loading and unloading dies, emptying scrap hoppers, and assisting with set-up duties.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
- Must be able to use hands to position parts in place
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated experience in safely operating a forklift and other material handling equip
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team having responsibility for handling materials for outdoor power equipment
- Handles raw materials and/or parts and places in designated location
- Operates equipment needed to perform the job
- Strict adherence to standard work
- Assist team members in other areas to meet daily production goals
- Records information in adherence to standard work
- Loads and unloads materials and units onto trucks
- Enters the material movement into AS400
- Operates an industrial truck or pallet jack to assist in loading or moving product
- Delivers right parts, right quantities to assembly cells or work centers in a timely manner
- Off load incoming product and transfer to proper storage locations
- May locate and transport raw materials to and from work centers
- Identify and locate proper tooling when requested by operators
- May load and unload dies into work centers
- Empty scrap hoppers
- Assist with set-up duties as needed
