1st Shift Forklift Driver

About The Position
Forklift Operator I is responsible for moving material from inventory to production and back to inventory. The role maintains required paperwork and production records and supplies production departments with material according to the production schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successfully complete the Forklift Driver licensing process.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Forklift driving experience.
- Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.
Responsibilities
- Move material in process from one station to another when necessary.
- Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
- Move finished goods from the production area to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
- Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
- Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Complete the pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems or concerns.
- Keep the rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
- Complete production records as required.
- Follow forklift rules and policies described in Company policy.
- Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
- Perform other duties as required.
