Shipping/Receiving - Forklift Driver II
About The Position
Herff Jones is a leading provider of graduation and educational products and services, including class rings, caps and gowns, diplomas, frames, announcements, and Greek accessories, as well as motivation and recognition programs. Since 1920, the company has worked with students, faculty, and staff to inspire achievement and create memorable experiences. The Herff Jones Cap & Gown team is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team in Arcola, IL. This role involves warehouse pick/pack duties, inventory-related activities, and opportunities for cross-training in other departments.
Requirements
- Abide by all Company and Federal (OSHA) requirements for forklift operator certification for double reach and stand-up reach forklift trucks
- Possess physical strength and dexterity to perform essential functions
- Operate a personal computer and related software (Oracle, Excel, etc.)
- Be able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs
- Demonstrate English reading and comprehension skills
- Possess communication skills
- Perform simple math
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse pick/pack duties
- Conduct inventory related activities
- Engage in cross-training opportunities in other departments
- Inform and update management of shortages of stock needed for gravity feed conveyors
- Maintain inventories of finished graduation apparel by color, size, and material
- Correctly identify and place newly manufactured and returned items into proper storage areas
- Stock gravity feed conveyors
- Perform all functions/tasks within the Department
