2nd Shift Forklift Driver
About The Position
Seneca Foods is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and safety-minded individual to join their team as a Certified Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift. This full-time position is located in Hart, Michigan, within the Processing department. The role involves operating a forklift to maintain inventory accuracy, move materials, weigh product, and ensure efficient plant operations. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of forklift experience preferred
- Basic math and clear communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Food Processing experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Scan and attach proper tote tickets to help maintain inventory accuracy
- Move totes / pallets throughout the plant.
- Weigh product and record weight on tickets
- Ability to move, stack, and unstack pallets or totes of product in rows, and up to 5 high
- Ensure pallets are stacked and wrapped correctly
- Remove pallets of completed product to appropriate area for storage
- Unloads and fills out required paperwork on all incoming materials, ingredients, and supplies.
- Relieve other department drivers for breaks
- Operate forklift safely at all times, maintain forklift as required, and complete daily forklift checklist
- Change propane as needed
