About The Position

This position is full-time and operates on a day shift. The primary responsibilities include operating and tending to machinery for washing and cleaning drums, operating a forklift, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role also involves assisting other team members, such as lid washers, drum handlers, and receivers, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The work environment is primarily within the Plant portion of the facility, requiring interaction with other employees with an attitude of dignity and respect.

Requirements

High school diploma, or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a minimum of 3 years forklift experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write legibly, and speak English.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, and the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volumes, and distances.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to operate and read a scale.
Be able to operate a forklift, pass company forklift test, use a hand pallet jack and a drum truck.
Ability to turn valves on and off, be able to read temperature gauge, and be able to operate a trash compactor.
Experience with inventory.
