This is a Temp-to-Hire position for a Forklift Driver. The role involves using physical analysis and scanning equipment to confirm the accuracy of pallet tags versus pallet loads and authorizing them for delivery into the inventory control system. The driver will use reachtruck or hand-operated lift equipment to stack, tier, or move product, equipment, or materials. Essential duties include case picking, comparing pallet tags to pallet loads for accuracy, scanning pallet labels to enter information into a scanner, and manually entering quantity information. Information from scanners will be downloaded into the IRIS inventory system hourly. The driver will store finished goods or parts in designated locations using powered or hand-operated lift equipment and scan the location. Physical inventory counts, vehicle inspections, and daily housekeeping are also required. The role demands performing duties in a manner that supports accurate inventory records, unloading incoming factory transfers as necessary, and auditing shipping/receiving quantities for accuracy. Additionally, the driver will pick, build, label, and wrap customer orders to meet customer/vendor requirements. The position requires the ability to routinely get on and off a forklift while lifting up to 50 pounds during an 8-hour shift, work in a fast-paced environment to keep up with production and shipping demands, and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools for visual communication. Similar level or nature of duties may be assigned.
