About The Position

JBS is seeking an hourly Forklift Driver/Warehouse Tech 2nd shift Team Member. The position starts at $20 per hour with a $1 shift differential. Warehouse Technicians must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Technicians must be able to concentrate on their tasks and have the ability to understand and communicate information. They will operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, and provide labor support to other areas as needed. Responsibilities include being at work every day and on time, identifying and reporting safety concerns or hazards, and providing machine maintenance and troubleshooting when required. The role involves participating in shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of supplies, materials, and products, as well as receiving, unloading, and inspecting shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications. This includes contacting supervisors regarding discrepancies and completing receiving, discrepancy, and follow-up reports. Stocking of products, planning storage locations, and determining proper location of supplies for maximum space utilization are also key duties. The position serves as a tech over an assigned warehouse function, prioritizing work assignments and delivering supplies and equipment as needed. Participation in annual physical inventories and operating a computer with assigned software for data input and report generation are required. Maintaining the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition and making recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory, and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency are expected. Employees are expected to arrive at scheduled time, work where and as directed, and stay until work is done. Some overtime work may be scheduled and required. The role also includes loading, unloading, and sorting packages in a fast-paced environment, and performing related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent certification
Forklift certification
Three or more years in warehouse process
Understanding of inventory management and warehouse functions
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification preferred
WMS and Barcode Scanner experience preferred
Display strong work ethics and positive attitude
Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver supplies and equipment as needed.
Participate in annual physical inventories.
Operate a computer and assigned software to input data and generate reports.
Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition.
Make recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
Arriving at scheduled time, working where and as directed, and staying until work is done, or until supervisor and/or manager indicate work is done.
Load, unload and sort packages in a fast-paced environment.
