About The Position

The Distribution Associate executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging, and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product, and ensuring the day-to-day work tasks are completed in an ethical, safe manner. This position reports to the Manager, Distribution and is part of the Receiving Department located in Logan/North Logan, UT and will be an onsite position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or local equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in storing and material handling
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
  • Must be capable of passing Department of Transportation’s Health Exam to operate company vehicle routing materials to and from company and outside warehouses
  • Proficient in basic mathematics
  • Capable of working in extreme cold conditions (-20 ̊ C/-4 ̊ F) on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate well and work with others
  • Perform basic computer skills
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Previous Forklift experience (will certify)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control
  • Knowledge of computerized material flow methods
  • Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control
  • Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or forklifts
  • Pick parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity
  • Create and/or maintain transactional inventory records
  • Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity
  • Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments
  • Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies
  • Fill kits and deliver to production as required
  • Maintain stocking/inventory objectives
  • Quantify and verify cycle counts
  • Comply with EHS and Quality System regulations and policies
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
  • Be aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position.
