About The Position

The Forklift Driver in department receiving 51-REC is responsible for supplying various locations throughout the plant with the proper materials to help with completing the required daily production. This role involves various duties across the Put-away Area, Receiving Area, and M-Warehouse Area, ensuring efficient material handling and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience and proper forklift training and certification through McCall Farms.
  • Must pass written and driving tests.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as federal and state laws, legal documents, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
  • Strong ability to communicate with others with written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to perform advanced calculations and formulas.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently as required.

Responsibilities

  • Supply various locations throughout the plant with proper materials to complete daily production.
  • Ensure pallets are wrapped correctly, cans are stacked properly, and labels match the product.
  • Verify correct bin placement for pallets and mark each placed pallet.
  • Monitor red pallets, slip sheets, and toppers.
  • Unload properly wrapped brite pallets from the conveyor.
  • Maintain knowledge of locations, item numbers, and can sizes.
  • Verify bins match system entries in the receiving area.
  • Scan pallets in MOBE3 one at a time.
  • Containerize brite pallets from SAGE to MOBE3 for transfer to other departments.
  • Utilize proper scanning protocols.
  • Load containerized brite pallets onto tugger carts and trailers for transport.
  • Unload slip sheets and good red pallets.
  • Verify tugger inventory before it leaves the receiving department.
  • Ensure battery stations are operational and batteries are in the correct place.
  • Maintain order in the back patio area.
  • Complete pallet counts at the end of the shift for inventory purposes.
  • Unload cans from trailers directly to the Depal.
  • Set up Depal lines, ensuring correct empty can size pallets are placed properly.
  • Dump waste trash hoppers from Depal areas as necessary.
  • Verify Crown BOLs as they arrive.
  • Unload LTLs.
  • Ensure Dunnage is loaded properly.
  • Monitor the Dunnage stacker.
  • Pull after-hours cans after 11 pm.
  • Backfill after-hours cans.
  • Ensure can rows are in the proper order.
  • Verify cans before putting them on the Depal.
  • Ensure trash boxes and strap bins are empty.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
  • Follow all rules, safety procedures, and guidelines set in the McCall Farms handbook.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Read product labels.
  • Properly fill out paperwork documents (BOLs) and ensure they are turned in daily.
  • Keep pallet and slip sheet areas full, straight, and organized for production.
  • Properly lock down trailers before loading or unloading.
  • Ensure rotation of stock, moving the oldest product out or delivered first.
