About The Position

Hayden Valley Foods, a leading nut and snack company since 1967, is seeking a motivated 2nd Shift Forklift Operator/Order Puller to join their growing team. This role is responsible for optimizing loads, safely transporting products within the warehouse, and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys meeting and exceeding daily goals.

Requirements

  • Stand-up Forklift/ Turret Truck- Minimum of 2 years experience
  • Certification on forklift (both turret truck & stand-up forklift)
  • Ability to lift objects & stand for long periods of time.
  • Attention to detail. (Ability to pick, pack & load accurately & follow instructions).
  • Spatial Awareness (Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to work in limited space).
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to complete job tasks.
  • Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction & multiplication (for record keeping).
  • Outstanding Organizational Skills.
  • (Good verbal & written) for interactions with co-workers & drivers
  • Follow instructions & all safety guidelines
  • Must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Loading, unloading, shipping & receiving of various items
  • Transportation of materials to different locations within the facility
  • Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency
  • Inspect & ensure accuracy of both incoming/outgoing product with BOL/Invoice
  • Ensure loads are properly stacked & secured and adhere to company regulations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or RF scanners (training provided if needed)
  • Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts prior to usage and report to damages and/or repair to direct supervisor
  • Complete all paperwork and submit all shipping documents (BOL or similar invoices) to Shipping & Receiving manager
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders according to company standards and customer requirements
  • Verify product quantities, quality, and labeling before shipment
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory control as needed
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly
