About The Position

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Fork Lift Operator for their 1st shift. This role is primarily responsible for operating forklift equipment, setting up the debone area, and transporting finished product. The position requires adherence to all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
• Forklift certified
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Relative poultry industry experience
• Basic math functions and skills

Responsibilities

• Operating forklift equipment
• Setting up the debone area with coolant and tubs
• Transporting finished product to scales and manifest area
• Moving product to be reworked
• Maintaining forklift in a sanitary manner and replacing battery when needed
• Working cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers
• Performing additional duties as assigned
