About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Forklift Operator I at Beasley Forest Products in Hazlehurst, GA. The role involves supporting production by transporting lumber and mats, loading and unloading trailers, organizing storage areas, performing daily maintenance checks on forklifts, and adhering to all safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous forklift operation experience is required.
- Ability to work long shifts (often 12 hours) and night shifts in industrial conditions (hot/cold).
- Strong attention to safety.
- Ability to operate in tight spaces.
- Basic, reliable attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Preference for sawmill or heavy industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Transport lumber and mats throughout the sawmill and warehouse, supplying production lines with necessary materials.
- Accurately load and unload trailers with mats and timber, ensuring safe transport.
- Stack, bundle, and manage storage areas, keeping the yard organized.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on forklifts and report issues.
- Adhere to all OSHA guidelines, wear PPE, and maintain a safe, clean work area.
