About The Position
Beasley Forest Products is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily sawmill and warehouse operations in Hazlehurst, Georgia. This role is responsible for safely transporting lumber, mats, and finished wood products throughout the facility while maintaining efficient production flow and organized storage areas. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is committed to workplace safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environments
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds or more and climb on/off equipment throughout the shift
Nice To Haves
- Industrial, sawmill, lumber, or manufacturing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate industrial forklifts to transport lumber, timber, mats, and materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload trailers accurately and efficiently
- Supply production lines with materials to maintain workflow
- Stack, organize, and maintain lumber storage and yard areas
- Perform daily forklift inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Follow OSHA guidelines and all company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Assist with additional production or warehouse duties as assigned
