About The Position

The Sisterson Symposium Series: FORGE Career Exploration Program is an immersive event for students who will have completed their first year as an accounting major. FORGE (Freshmen Opportunity for Real-World Growth & Exploration) is designed for students who have completed their first year of college and are in the early stages of career exploration. It provides exposure to the public accounting profession, valuable insight, and networking opportunities directly with tax, audit, and consulting professionals. The program emphasizes professional growth, communication skills, and relationship building, helping students gain clarity and confidence as they begin shaping their academic and career goals. Participants will develop a stronger understanding of the profession and how their strengths may align with future opportunities at Sisterson. FORGE creates a natural pathway into the STEEL Summer Leadership Program, though participation is not required to be considered for STEEL.

Requirements

• Must be a second-semester freshman at a four-year college or university by May.
• Must declare accounting as a major or be working with faculty to declare it by no later than sophomore year.
• Must currently hold at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
• Must have availability to attend the entire program in June (approximately 9:00 am-1:30 pm).
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the Pittsburgh office.
• Must formally apply for the program with a resume and letter of interest.
• Must complete an online application at www.sisterson.com/careers.
• Must complete the competitive interview process.
