About The Position

Forsite is actively looking for Forest Technicians with a general understanding and experience with British Columbia forestry practices, based out of our 100 Mile House, BC. The Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cut block engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner. This is a field-based position that has the potential for out of town and camp work.

Requirements

  • A safety conscious attitude
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 3 years of related field experience
  • Broad understanding of general forestry practices
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment
