Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance such as clearing brush, installing drainage, repairing surfaces, and stabilizing disturbed areas
- Repair buildings, signs, gates, and structures throughout the forest district
- Mow grass, remove brush, and maintain picnic areas, parking lots, and tower sites
- Service tools, vehicles, and machinery and keep them in operational condition
- Assist with fire prevention, suppression efforts, equipment readiness, and safety programs
- Mark, paint, and clear state forest boundary lines as assigned
