Forest Business Associate
About The Position
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), one of twenty campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautiful timberlands, rich in outdoor recreation activities, and approximately 100 miles south of Little Rock. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master’s degree programs. This position involves teaching forestry short courses in logging, forest finance, and policy. The associate will also assist with various research and outreach projects, including data collection in the field, and database aggregation and development in the office. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the development of reports for the Center for Forest Business.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Forestry
- Strong skills in forest management and economics
- Experience working in the forest industry
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Responsibilities
- Teach forestry short courses in logging, forest finance, and policy.
- Assist with various research and outreach projects.
- Assist with data collection in the field.
- Assist with database aggregation and development of databases in the office.
- Assist in developing reports for the Center for Forest Business.
