About The Position

The Foreperson is responsible for directing crew members and managing equipment daily. This role involves planning, assigning, and executing specific tasks safely and professionally, while supervising crew performance. The Foreperson will also be responsible for daily reporting using the AMS system for timesheets and billing, notifying property owners of presence and obtaining permission for work, discussing issues with customers and property owners, overseeing equipment and material usage, ensuring cleanup, securing equipment and supplies, assisting in personnel management, and maintaining accurate records of time, equipment, and materials used. A key aspect of this role is maintaining excellent customer relations and adhering to accident reporting procedures.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meets and demonstrates qualifications of all positions on a crew.
  • Ability to read and understand contract requirements.
  • Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants.
  • Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must meet I-9 requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in personnel management.
  • Keep accurate records of time, equipment, and material used.
  • Maintain above standard customer relations.
  • Report accidents.
  • Delegate work and take accountability for the performance of a crew.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are secure on the truck.
