Forensics Unit Registered Nurse
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for the care of assigned patients. The role includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The nurse communicates changes in a patient’s clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time, night-shift role with 12-hour hours at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter (preferred).
- Previous acute-care hospital experience (preferred).
- Ventilator management experience (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
Responsibilities

- Remain directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment.
