About The Position

A multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Forensics Engineer for their growing office in Windsor! This role involves conducting residential and commercial forensic investigations to analyze and determine structural damage for various clients, including insurance companies, attorneys, private homeowners, and property owners. The engineer will investigate and assess damage due to catastrophes, apply engineering principles in accordance with codes and industry standards, and provide detailed forensic engineering reports outlining the cause and origin of damage. Project management, including meeting deadlines and providing clients and the team with timelines and updates, is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering or closely related discipline required
  • 6+ years of experience in architectural or engineering
  • 1+ year of forensic engineering experience required
  • E.I.T. required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • PE License or RA License preferred
  • Experience working with law firms and insurance companies preferred
  • Experience with depositions and expert testimony preferred
  • Management and supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with premises and walking surface investigations
  • Experience with product defect cases preferred
  • Candidates with experience in accident reconstruction and automotive failure analysis considered

Responsibilities

  • Prove evaluations are correct by researching technical publications and literature
  • Apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards

  • Manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines
  • Provide clients and team with timelines and project updates
