This position advocates for and assists individuals admitted to the Forensic Program with coping in crisis situations and with admission into services for those who are referred by the criminal justice system and diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. The role involves providing assessment, diagnosis, counseling, and treatment services to identified Forensic clients, including outpatient, evidence-based, and trauma-informed counseling. The position operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care, aligning with CCBHC standards. Responsibilities include attending audits and client reviews, assisting with community outreach and trainings, and performing other duties as requested by the Forensic Program Director.
