The Forensic Psychologist is an integral team member of the Behavioral Health (BH) department and the agency. This position is responsible primarily for providing forensic evaluations as recommended by family court. The Forensic Psychologist is in the critical position of assessing for child and family needs, parental capacity, parental mental health needs and presenting the information to the court. Additionally, the Forensic Psychologist may get called to provide court testimony. Supervision of other licensed clinicians provided forensic evaluations will also be required. Therefore, a very important part of the Forensic Psychologist’s role is formulating appropriate recommendations and sharing ideas related to families with the court and supervisees.
