Forensic Psychologist for Solomon Carter Fuller Hospital
About The Position
The Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and the Tufts Medical Center is recruiting a licensed Designated Forensic Psychologist (DFP) or eligible-DFP Candidate to work as a member of the Tufts Medical Center Mobile Forensic Evaluation Team. This full-time position (40 hours each week) includes the opportunity for an academic appointment in the Tufts University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry at a rank to be determined by qualifications. Requirements
- Licensed Designated Forensic Psychologist (DFP) or eligible-DFP Candidate
Responsibilities
- Conducting Court-ordered competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, aid in sentencing, and prisoner in need of treatment evaluations at the Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center, and other Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH), correctional, or community-based facilities when necessary
- Authoring forensic reports
- Providing testimony, as required
- Providing consultative risk assessments to DMH services and inpatient units
- Initiating a research program
- Training practicum students, psychology interns, and psychiatric residents
